tumours at the Clinic

authored and co-authored several scientific professional papers
and articles.
Areas of special interest are diagnostics and treatments
of thyroid gland diseases, minimally invasive thyroid surgery,
skin change
surgery and oncosurgery.

Founder and director
of Poliklinika Leptir d.o.o., the first private specialized

- Born in Komiza in 1967
- Graduated from the Medical university
in Zagreb in 1991
- Internship at the "Sestre Milosrdnice" clinical
hospital in Zagreb.
- Participated in the Croatian war for independence
as a medical commanding officer with the 144 division of
the Croatian army
on the Southern front in 1993
- passed the specialist exam
in otorinolaringology and head and neck surgery in 2000
- In
2007 completed subspecialisation in plastic surgery of the
head and neck.
Member of the staff in the department of otorinolaringology
and cervicofacial surgery at the Clinical centre "Merkur".
Actively
participating in domestic and international courses for continuous
education of doctors. Special areas of interest are paediatric
otorinolaringology, surgery of paranasal sinuses and aesthetic
surgery of the head and neck.
Member of the Croatian Medical
Assembly, Croatian Society for Otorinolaringology, head and
neck surgery.

Dr Tatjana Samardzic,

- Born July 16 1965 in Pula, where I completed elementary
and high school education
- 1984 enrolled at the Medical University
in Rijeka and graduated in February 1990, with a degree of
medical doctor. Internship
at the Medical centre in Pula.
- During 1990 and 1991, worked
as a lecturer in the field of anatomy for the Medical school
in Pula.
- In 1991, after the completed internship, worked at
the Medical centre Ogulin, where I served in the Croatian
war for independence
from September 1991 to December 1992 as a member of mobile
medical units in the Division for treatment of the wounded.
- After
returning to Pula, worked at the Health centre in Pula in
general medical practice, and then from 1996
to 2001
in
medical equipment sales.
- In April 2002, as a member
of the staff of the Pula General Hospital, received my specialization
in nuclear
medicine
and radiation protection. During internship participated
in numerous
professional and scientific events.
- Passed the specialist
exam in July 2006, earning the title of a nuclear medicine
specialist
- Completed first year of Specialized postgraduate
studies "Nuclear medicine", and in the academic
year 2008/2009
enrolled in doctoral studies.
- Since December 2006,
employed at the Clinical Centre Zagreb in the Clinical Department
for
Nuclear Medicine
and Radiation
Protection.

Dr Ljiljana Stefancic,

- Born in 1958 in Mostar. Finished elementary and high school
education in Osijek.
- Graduated from the Medical University of
Zagreb in 1982
- After five years in family practice, I began
specialization in anaesthesiology and intensive treatment
in Osijek in 1987
- Completed the specialist examination in 1992
at the Clinical Centre in Zagreb
- During the Croatian war for
Independence served with the mobile medical teams.
- From 1992
to 2006 worked at the Clinical Centre in Zagreb in the Institute
for anaesthesiology and intensive
treatment
at the Clinical Centre Rebro where I gained experience
in cardiac, vascular and abdominal anaesthesia. During
this
period I participated
(as a lecturer and attending) a number of postgraduate
continuous education courses, professional congresses
and seminars with
special emphasis on pain management as well as internal
and parenternal patient diet.
- Since 2006 -employed
at the Clinic for tumours where pain treatment has been related
with a nutritive
support
for the
patients and proven to be an important factor of
modern multi-modal approach to treating patients.
- Importance
of food and diet in prevention, as well as treating, encouraged
me to enrol is a postgraduate
study
of nutritionism
in 2007, at the Faculty of food technology and
biotechnology
at the University of Zagreb.

- Born on April 27, 1939 in Vela Luka, Korcula
- In 1975 finished
high school in Split, and then continued studying medicine
at the Medical University in Zagreb. Graduated
June 1, 1964.
- Mandatory internship was served at the Medical
Centre Pakrac, completed October 5, 1966, where he continued
working
as a
doctor of general practice
- Specialization in pathological
anatomy completed at the Institute for pathology of the Medical
University in Zagreb.
Specialist
exam passed in 1975
- After the completed exam, returned
to Pakrac to form the Department of Pathology and Cytology,
where he served
as
the head of the department until 1984.
- General Manager
of the Medical Centre Pakrac from 1978 to 1982. During the
years in MC Pakrac, founded
the Department
for Experimental Pathology with a corresponding farm
of experimental animals.
- From August 1, 1984 worked
as a pathology specialist at the Institute for tumours in
Zagreb
- From 1985 manager of the Department of clinical,
histological and cytological diagnostics
- From
1986 to 1988 served as the v.d. director of the Institute.
- Completed
postgraduate studies in medical diagnostics in 1974

- Finished the 5th gymnasium
in 1980 in Zagreb, enroled in the Medical University of Zagreb
the same year.
- Mandatory intership completed at the Samobor
health centre.
- Passed the proficiency exam in 1989
- The same year passed the
final exam of postgraduate studies in clinical citology
- Worked
for two years at the school infermery at the Sisak health
centre.
- In 1991, started specialization in clinical citology
at the Clinical hospital "Sestre Milosrdnice".
- Passed
the specialist exam on December 12, 1994.
- In February 1995,
transferred to the Clinic for tumours
- From 1997 to 2007, serving
as the head of the clinical citology department
- From May 2008
advanced to the position of head of the citologic diagnostics
department
of the
Zagreb-Centar health centre.
